Extent of Cover
The insurer undertakes to reimburse the insured for any damage to the insured vehicle that may arise during the agreed period of insurance cover in accordance with the present terms, conditions and exclusions.
Should the insured vehicle as the result of an accident become unserviceable, be seized, or be taken in charge by the police, the insurer shall, upon presentation and verification of a cost estimate or an assessor's estimate, compensate the insured to the value of the vehicle as declared in the policy less any agreed excess, provided that the loss is not the result of a criminal act. Should the latter prove to have been the case after the insurer has made a payment, rights in the vehicle will revert to the insurer.
